Dana Greiner works across media and installations. She combines painting, music, sculpture, film, theater, light, and sound installations into a unified whole, creating visual worlds both within and outside of social contexts. Originally coming from a background in painting, digital media and 3D printing are now increasingly finding their way into her work. In this multifaceted approach, she usually creates several works at the same time, which she then connects with each other, marking out spaces and filling them with content. People, both the main actors and the most important audience, are at the center of her work. Intermedial and comprehensive, she makes use of a wide variety of media and uses them as a means of translation to emphasize the subtext. This creates space for poetry, pop, politics, and aesthetics, whereby these concepts never clearly lean to one side, but always seek the diametric opposition within a work.
